Bohol Summer Getaway

*tiptoe-ing silently back on the stage*

*spotlight on*

Aaaaaand we’re back! *applause*

‘Twas a very long commercial break for me, given the recent I-have-to-take-over-someone-elses-work-hence-the-daily-overtime unavoidable circumstances. Let’s put that behind us now, shall we?

Just this April, I had the opportunity of the sweetest escape from work and stress – good thing I booked my 10-day vacay leave on that month. Otherwise, I might be throwing stuff and pulling my hair out.

Here’s a short clip of what transpired. This was shot using an iPhone 4. And, this was edited, entirely, using an iPad Mini. So, please forgive the quality. Unless, of course, you want to sponsor me a Canon 5D Mark III and a 27 inch iMac.

There are photos still pending for editing. I’ve spent around 6 days in Bohol: 3 with my family; and 3 with Pats. So, that would be a lot of photos. *yawn*

Til then, take this clip as a teaser. Ha ha.

Suggestions, criticisms, comments are certainly most welcome, as usual.

Taiwan, 5-in-1

Nah… This is not another brand of an instant coffee mix. It’s more of a “squeezing in a 5-day trip into one 1 compiled experience” for your hopefully reading pleasure.

Singapore, yet again

And… we’re back in SG. Well, last October that is. Just another back log… :p

My Uncle and Aunt went for an Asian cruise last October, where their last stop was in Singapore. Seeing them last a few years ago, I made sure that I can go and see them there. Since Singapore is just a 5-hour stones throw away from Malaysia, it was rather easy to push the plan through. And for the first time, I got to introduce Pats to them – where she later on got them drunk. LOL.

Morning was more on the usual tourist’s activity, where we visited and strolled around Sentosa.

That night, we went to Clarke Quay for a sumptuous dinner, have Chili Crabs to be specific. Unfortunately, I can’t, due to allergies. Nonetheless, all the other dishes was fairly good. After then, we went to Over Easy to lounge and have good wines. 3 bottles of wine, to be exact.

Next morning, we went to Gardens by the Bay, which is a new attraction in Singapore. If I’m not wrong, it was only opened this year. Fortunately, it was one of the places that my Aunt and Uncle wanted to visit. So, we did.

Entering the garden itself is free. I saw some people jogging, some walking their dogs, and some strolling with their babies, which I think is one of the best places in SG to do such considering its highly urbanized and busy environment. The entrance fee to the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest – air-conditioned conservatories, was a bit on the expensive side. But on a hot and humid day, I think it was all worth it. And I think they’ve done a wonderful job for it.

Here goes some photos of our weekend trip to Singapore. :)

Cheers to 2013!

2012 passed by, just like that. ‘Twas a year full of challenges and trials – both in personal and career, travels and munching around, first times and re-runs, and everything else that I may or may have not expected. No regrets, as what we all say.

Now’s the start of another year. Hopefully, it will be a better one, if not best. I’m looking forward to big changes that are about to come, and I pray that it will all be for the best.

Happy New Year to everyone! Let’s all wish and pray for a better 2013. Cheers!

Below are some of the (mobile) photos that Zari, Pats, and I had when we welcomed 2013 last night at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. We’re supposedly crashing going to a couch surfer party, and head to Skybar afterwards. But we ended up enjoying the hype of Bukit Bintang’s bars and street party.
